Choosing Courage
In 2006, Dr. Khushboo Singh stepped into the handicraft industry through a small jewellery unit, beginning her career as a computer operator.
Just four months into the job, she received an opportunity to move into software — a field she had studied — with a salary of ₹10,000 a month.
She chose to stay with handicrafts.
It was a decision that changed the direction of her life. What began as a job became an eleven-year learning experience, allowing her to understand craftsmanship, production and the world of exports from the ground up.
A Wider Impact
Eleven years in the handicraft industry gave Khushboo more than professional experience. It gave her an intimate understanding of the craft, the people behind it and the possibilities within the industry.
In 2017, she took the next step and founded Aarya Fashions, naming the company after her daughter, Aarya.
It was the beginning of a new chapter — one where the experience she had gathered over the years could become her own vision.
The Journey
Looking back, the defining moments of Khushboo Singh’s journey were not always the biggest ones. Sometimes, it was choosing to stay when a more comfortable option appeared. Sometimes, it was learning before leading. And sometimes, it was taking everything she had learned and choosing to build something of her own. From those first years in handicrafts to building Aarya Fashions, every chapter has added another layer to the journey. And the next chapter is still being written.
